Apparently the cases have priority

Checking In - The double edged sword

Mar 15, 2026

We made it from the Maldron across the wide expanses of Dublin airport to the Turkish Airlines check-in desk. We were hopeful that the trials and tribulations of trying to check-in online were a distant memory. And indeed they proved to be. Replaced by dealing with the fact we had to bid farewell to our luggage with the vague promise that we would be reunited in a few days time in Singapore. It all happened in the blink of an eye before any rational choices could be made. It only started to dawn slowly but surely that Istanbul was going to have to suffer Big Verno in the same kecks for 48 hours. How they will pass customs in Singapore will be subject to some active betting. It will be a toss up between ”That will need a pre- wash” and “Commando - a seam too far,” as to which will win out.

As an aside but part of the tragic picture of two refugees adrift without chargers or other life’s essentials Mrs Big Verno sallied forth to equip us with the necessary tools to preserve our dental health. You decide what to make of her selections.

The Agreement - nearly 30 years later

Anyway, we have made it to our second stopover and look forward to seeing some of the sights of Istanbul in the morning after breakfast here in the Celal Sultan
